If you can't play Pag. 24 on it, then it's not an instrument. That's our kids' definition.
Well then, Bethlehem's pipes don't got it. There are pipes hung on a piece of wood by the river in Bethlehem, NH. They're meant to be played by visitors of all ages. There's no playing Paganini's 24th caprice on them. Why did the other Bethlehem instrument, the Messiah of G-d, not make the Jewish cut for Christ? Why did they reject Him? The book of Matthew explains it (perhaps poorly). The movies by The Chosen go into the build-up of it very convincingly. Simply put? Spiritual envy. Jealousy. It's the most dire of sins when we look at someone and think that G-d has bestowed more gifts on them than us, so we must demolish them to keep our position in the church and in the community. Little is said of predestination at those times. Hmmm. Perhaps hypocrisy at its finest. Perhaps, the parable of the equally paid workers crossing different work hours. Jealousy. A real problem still today. But can we really cut the non-Pag 24's out of the church? I like cymbals. Just sayin'. P.S. Paganini's 24th Caprice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcL0IsklM3M
